Task Aerospace is a proud Sponsor of the 28th Annual Aircrew Life Support (ALS) / Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) Reunion that is being held 11-14 August 2025 in Tempe, Arizona. The keynote speaker for this year’s reunion is John “Big Johnny” Messina. John has decades of experience in Aircrew Protection, which started in the USAF as an Aircrew Life Support Technician of 23 years, then as an Equipment Specialist for the USAF Cartridge Actuated Devices / Propellant Actuated Device (CAD/PAD) Joint Program Office where he was an equipment specialist and the lead egress system and AFE mishap investigator, conducting over 95 mishap investigations. John then served as a Program Manager with the USAF CAD/PAD JPO, and he is currently a Program Manager with Task Aerospace.
TASK Aerospace was formed in 2013 with primary focus on “Aircrew Protection”. The founders of TASK are a dedicated group of individuals with many decades of experience with design, development, manufacture, test, qualification, acceptance, and evaluation of egress systems, Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE), and Cartridge Actuated Devices / Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD).
The entire TASK team is made up of professionals with military, civil service, and aerospace industry experience providing manufacturing, management, and maintenance support on a wide variety of military aircraft, their life support systems, egress systems, and the various components used in these systems. Team members include Industry, USAF and US Navy managers, engineers, and technicians that are intimately familiar with the unique items that are critical to aircrew safety and aircraft operational readiness.
The Annual Aircrew Life Support (ALS) / Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE) Reunion brings together the career professionals within industry and US Government who have spent their life saving lives.
