Task Aerospace, Inc. of Mesa, Arizona announced today the successful production, testing, and delivery of its first lot of M25A1 Canopy Thrusters. The Thrusters are a Critical Safety Item (CSI) used in the emergency escape system of all versions of the F-5 and T-38 aircraft flown by US and Foreign Governments as well as commercial operators providing training support around the world.
The engineering and manufacturing teams at Task Aerospace have developed a state-of-the-art test fixture, produced the M127 Thruster Cartridge component and the M25A1 Thruster. Task performed all First Article Testing, and conducted the Lot Acceptance Testing (LAT) at its manufacturing facility located in Mesa. Jake Petronzio, Director of Operations at the site, said, “The team’s dedication to quality is evident in the test data, as all LAT units performed perfectly.”
Task Aerospace’s M25A1 Canopy Thrusters are manufactured and tested IAW the gov’t Technical Data Package (TDP) 11730533. Task manufactured units are sold direct to customers and are marked with the TDP reference number as well as Task part number 740027-1.
Manufacturing of pyrotechnic devices takes place at Task’s Mesa facility, one of four Task Aerospace facilities located in the United States. Task provides technical and manufacturing capabilities to US and Foreign Governments in support of the entire Aircrew Escape System and Flight Equipment on US manufactured platforms, including the F-5, A-4, AV8, and F-16.
