Task Aerospace, Inc. is proud to announce the presentation of the 2024 CAD/PAD Program Office Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Bob LaFrance, Task Aerospace’s founder and current CEO.  The award ceremony was held in the MGM Hotel in National Harbor, MD on August 14th, in association with the 2024 CAD/PAD Technical Exchange Workshop (TEW).  The award was presented by Greg Longworth, Joint Program Office Director and (Ret) Brig. General Frank Kelley, former Assistant Secretary of Defense.

Task Aerospace Vice President, Dave Howe, said “Bob and I have been good friends for nearly 35 years, and I know there is no one more committed to safety than him.  And not just aircrew safety, safety in all aspects of life.  One of Bob’s trademark statements is, ‘Task Aerospace is committed to doing the right thing,’ and that is one of the major principals Task Aerospace lives by.  This Lifetime Achievement Award is certainly well deserved!”

Bob spent a full career in the aircrew survival and safety of flight business, holding positions as head of Business Development, Contracting, Program Management, and Marketing, and Vice President of CAD/PAD and Ejection Seat suppliers.  Then, in 2013, he challenged himself to create a business focused on the safety and support of aircrews around the world without the bureaucratic shackles of big business.  He assembled a team of the most qualified and respected individuals in the industry.  Task Aerospace is the fastest growing business in the CAD/PAD, Egress, and Aircrew Flight Equipment community.
