Senior Manager, Life Support, SERE & Pararescue Division,

  • Supervised the administration and management of programs for 60 flying divisions operating; 14 different types of aircraft
  • Developed test plans and implemented programs where newly designed items are to be integrated into existing systems.
  • Engineered a fix for vacuum-packed life rafts which eliminated potential of failure to automatically activate during ejection (engineering change was adopted worldwide).
  • Implements policy changes and sponsored extensive training programs to standardize and improve night vision device maintenance for the Air Force
  • Certified as Academic Instructor by the Air University of the USAF.

Life Support Inspection Branch, 8/1981 – 7/1984

  • Administered and performed inspections for 26 Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve units to ensure safety and efficiency of overall life support operations.
  • Served as member of the planning process which was instrumental for the development of several computer programs used in planning and maintenance of all publications.
  • Selected to perform as Project Officer for Management Effectiveness Inspections and Operational Readiness Inspections, Flight Publication Officer and Flight Planner.
  • Developed checklists and life support mobility procedures to increase readiness and safety.

  • Served on the Inspectors General’s team to oversee Air National Guard’s Life Support Program.
  • Hand-picked in a 7 man team to implement a search and rescue school to aid in the training of the Saudi Military which was recognized as highly successful.
