Manager, Egress Systems
TASK Aerospace, Inc. is proud to announce that Mr. Jim Smiler has joined the TASK team as its Manager of Egress Systems. Mr. Smiler has worked with TASK for the past two years as Lead Egress Technician, and will now take the full time roll of managing this growing segment of the TASK business.
When it comes to egress, Jim’s background is extensive. From leading edge systems to legacy systems, Jim has maintained a vast variety of ejection seats and escape systems on aircraft from F-15, F-16, F-22 and F-4 to T-38. From the ACES II® and MK7 ejection seats to the Northrop first and second generation seats in F-5 and T-38 aircraft, Jim has over 30 years of hands on expertise.
Recently leading F-4 and F-16 Egress Shops as Lead Technician, he is familiar with performing maintenance, training and assessing performance of a shop and personnel. Mr. Smiler brings the next level of quality assurance and certifications to the TASK offerings. At TASK, we look forward to Jim’s contribution to the exceptional TASK egress team.
